For more than fifty years, the Raders published the influential Iron Man magazine from the town of Alliance, Nebraska. They also traveled widely to judge weightlifting, powerlifting, and bodybuilding contests. The Peary and Mabel Rader Collection spans the years 1938-1989 with the bulk of the material dating from the 1950s, through the 1980s. The materials in the collection represent Peary and Mabel Rader’s professional business and personal lives and are presented accordingly in six series.
