I love this and have shared it with all my lifting friends. I hope it circulates everywhere and that it reminds newcomers to lifting how much history, pride, culture is wrapped up in strength.

Thank you for making it, for making it available, and for the Stark Institute itself.

I Am from Pais Vasco, thanks for posting this video here, is honored. But it is sad to see how from outside our borders is valued more feat these men lifting stones.

Glad you enjoyed it, but not surprised. It was an honor being a part of the process, and watching as the interviews were being done and the drives were made to the different caserios. Basques are a proud people and very serious about their sports. Human strength can be displayed and built in many different ways, and some of the things done over the years by the top stonelifters there couldn’t be matched by any of the men who’ve won the Arnold Strongman Classic over the past 15 years. It’s also fair to say that none of those marvelous Basque strongmen could match the prodigious feats the ASC giants have produced. To each his/her own.

We watched the documentary this evening, and enjoyed every minute. I have known about the Basque strongmen for many years, but this is by far the best film I have ever seen. I liked their attitude of wearing out rather than rusting out.
The desire for strength in both body and character is universal. It is alive and well among the Basque Levantadores.
    Joshua
